The ComPort can be used for different types of communication. The communication speed (Baud rate) must be set correctly to make it work properly. Selectable baud rates are in the range from 9600 - 115200. The port may be switched off (Instrument menu) to reduce power consumption.
The Nor150 can communicate with the following instruments:
Rotating table Nor265
Tapping machine Nor 261
and Reinhard weather stations in addition to a computer for general operation.
The ComPort is integrated in the 15 pin micro DSub socket on the left hand side of the instrument. The following pins are in use:
4: RTS 5: TXD 12: DSR
13: RD 14: GND
The other settings are: 8 data bit, 1 stop bit and no parity.
The ComPort is also called RS232 or V24 dependant on your location.
