Connecting electrical signals
The Nor145 can be used to measure electrical signals from many types of devices and signal sources without using a microphone. This type of functionality is needed for the verification of the performance of the analyser according to national and international standards (like IEC61672-3).
1: Use a Nor1368 kable (BNC - Lemo) instead of the preamp mic combination.
2: Remove mic and use a Nor1447 adapter (BNC). This method resambles the microphone connection. The sensitivity is not changed due to this. Set it to -26,0 to have one volt rms indicate 120 dB (dBUV).
The specifications are the same for the electrical input as it is for use with a microphone. If the sensitivity is set to -26.0, the dB values in the specifications can be recalculated to voltages using the formula:
((dB-120)/20) V = 10
