Start by removing the windscreen if attached. Then loosen the Spacer Adjustment Knob illustrated below.
Use both hands and gently pull the microphones apart as illustrated below.

To be able to insert the microphones into a sound pressure calibrator and the Nor1294 phase verification coupler, please remove the spacer parts by rotating them anti-clockwise of the microphone grid relative to the front of the microphone.
