A brief introduction to measuring in Building Acoustics mode
Calibration

After defining a rating standard and setting up the measurement parameters, we have all things set up correctly. Make sure you have calibrated the instrument before making a measurement:

Calibration

Select a measurement type and loudspeaker position

You are now in Idle View, showing the current Sound Pressure Levels (SPL).

Use the FUNC key to toggle the measurement type. Possible types are:
Level (Source room)
Level (Receiving room)
Background noise (BGN)
Reverberation time (RT)

Depending on the selected standard a loudspeaker position has to be selected.
Set the corresponding source position #A…#D by using the # soft button.

There is a header line showing the selected standard, the measurement type and the source position (#A...#D).

Making a measurement

As soon as all measurement parameters have been set, the instrument is ready for measuring.
Now, push either the large START/STOP key or the Start soft key to run the measurement. The Nor145 will automatically activate the noise generator if required.

Wait until the measurement duration has expired or use one of the Stop buttons START/STOP or Stop.
Now you are presented with the measured values. You can move the cursor around to see the different values or press View to toggle the different Views.
The softbuttons will ask you to either accept or decline a measurement.

Repeat this procedure for all required microphone positions, loudspeaker positions and measurement types.

Use the Project soft key to get access to the average values and rating results.
