The On/Off button is located in the lower right corner of the front panel. When the button is pushed, a question appears on the screen to confirm that you want to restart, power off or just lock the keyboard and display for input. Select "Yes" to turn off, "Restart" to restart the instrument or select Lock if you just want to activate the lock function. When Lock is active the help symbol is changed to a lock symbol. To unlock, just press the On/Off button and select Yes.
The instrument cannot be turned off while measuring.
The instrument takes continous backup of its memory contents and settings. All information is retained in the instrument even when the power is off. Charging of the main battery works also when the power is switched off.
