Display Layout

The measurement picture can be organized to show the measurement results the way you want it. The selectable displays are L(t) (time graph), L(f) (spectrum), SLM (numerical), Ln (statistical) or FFT (Fast Fourier transform). In addition, each display can be changed into a table. If the full screen is used for showing one type of results (eg. spectrum values), either graphically or numerically, this is called a Single View.
Alternatively the screen can be divided in two halves and each of the halves can show results independent of the other graph. This is called a Dual View.

Changing the display contents

There are numerous of possibilities for setting up the display, both hardware buttons and software selections.

VIEW button

Located just below the display cycle between the active views. Four views are available. To select the contents of each view please press the SETUP button and enter the Views menu.

TBL button

The contents of a view can be displayed either as a graphical representation, or in a numerical table. Use this button to toggle between these two modes.

FUNC button

Displaying other measured functions: Use this key to roll through the list of available (selected) measured functions.

INFO button

Display usefull information about instrument and the measurement configuration.

Connected displays

Usually all displays are connected. Using the cursor keys to change cursor position in one view (eg. changing the frequency in a spectrum L(f)) will lead to a new set of data presented in all other views (eg. a new set of profile L(t) data). To free a view from common cursor handling, use the context sensitive command, Free Cursor. Link Cursors revert this action.
Please note that the value selection in a view can be linked or it can be locked to show a specific frequency or network using the menu described below.

Context sensitive menus

Measurement display properties (like displayed functions, dynamic range and full scale) are selectable directly in the measurement pictures. Hold your finger a few seconds on a graph or press the ü button to open the context menu.

Softbuttons

At the bottom of the screen there are four soft-buttons. These buttons help you to control (eg. Start and Stop) and add useful information, markers, annotations and comments to your measurement.
As soon as you have opened a stored measurement you will get Previous and Next buttons. They will make it easy to jump between measurements within the same folder.
Marker allows you to add markers to identify interesting places in the profile graph.

Record, Voice, Text and Camera.

Status information

A number of small Icons are located on the Status Bar at the top of the display.
Above the display is a LED indicator that shows the instrument status. This LED will also indicate Overload
LED Status indicator.
