The Nor1545 noise monitoring terminal is a robust and efficient solution for long-term outdoor noise monitoring. Designed for environmental noise compliance and industrial applications, it helps you capture reliable data in demanding conditions.

Built around the Nor145 state-of-the-art sound level meter and modern communication technology, the Nor1545 ensures that noise data is transferred securely and consistently to your office or control centre for further analysis and reporting.

The Nor1545 can operate as a stand-alone noise monitoring terminal or be centrally managed via NorCloud as part of a wider, distributed monitoring network. This allows you to configure, supervise and review multiple sites from a single web-based interface.

For in-depth post-processing, NorReview provides detailed analysis of your noise data, including correlation with Noise Compass directional information and weather data. This combination supports accurate source identification, clearer documentation and robust regulatory reporting.

The Nor1545 cabinet is available in two configurations: Nor1545 and Nor1545/B.

Nor1545 - Weatherproof cabinet for Nor145 with mains input

Designed for reliable fixed installations, this cabinet solution combines robust operation with practical power flexibility. The instrument’s internal battery secures continued measurements for approximately 4–7 hours in the event of a mains power failure, depending on modem activity and use of microphone heating.

Power supply options

When equipped with a 12 VDC power connector (Option 1), an external power supply can be connected. This is a fixed connection without automatic, interruption‑free switching between the 12 V supply and mains power. As an alternative, an external power source can be wired directly to the Nor145 power input, routing the cable through the cabinet’s cable gland typically used for the microphone cable.

Optimized mounting and signal performance

The Nor145 is mounted on the inside of the cabinet door using a dedicated tripod screw. This configuration provides excellent LTE/4G, WiFi, and GPS signal performance. For remote locations with weaker network coverage, external antennas (Option 4) can be added to further enhance connectivity.

Flexible installation options

For installation, the cabinet can be supplied with mast mounting brackets (Option 2) or mounted directly to a wall using four screws, supporting a straightforward and secure setup in a wide range of monitoring environments.

Nor1545/B – Weatherproof cabinet for Nor145 - advanced applications

This cabinet is engineered to support multiple power sources and connected devices in parallel, including the Noise Compass (Nor1297), a weather station, and digital I/O. It can be supplied from mains power, 12 VDC external power (for example from a battery or solar panel), and can be fitted with an internal Tracer 22 Ah LiPo battery for extended, autonomous operation. These sources may also be combined to provide power redundancy for continuous monitoring.

Extended autonomous operation and charging

With a Tracer battery Nor344 (not included), the system will typically operate for up to three days without mains. When mains power is available, the Tracer battery is automatically charged, and the same applies to the internal battery of the Nor145. A solar panel or other 12 VDC source can be connected directly to the 12 VDC input terminal block, or via the 7‑pin Binder connector located at the bottom of the cabinet when Option 1 is installed (Pin 1 = positive, Pin 2 = negative/ground).

Digital I/O for advanced integrations

In addition, the cabinet provides two configurable digital input actions and one digital output, enabling integration with external systems and event‑based control in advanced noise monitoring setups.
