Measurement data from Norsonic instruments is transferred automatically, giving you secure, real-time access, analysis, and system control from any location via a standard web browser.

Automate your noise monitoring and access reliable data wherever you are. NorCloud lets you concentrate your analysis on the noise from the activity under investigation and generate automatic reports for any selected period.

NorCloud supports both temporary campaigns and permanent noise monitoring installations. Measurement data is automatically transferred from Norsonic instruments – including sound level meters such as the Nor145 and Nor150, as well as the Nor1545 Noise Monitoring Terminal – and made available on the platform for visualisation, detailed analysis, and post-processing.

NorCloud integrates advanced tools such as NoiseTag and Noise Compass, enabling automatic classification, analysis, and filtering of events based on both noise type and direction of arrival.

This allows you to focus the evaluation on the noise generated by the activity under study, while reducing the influence of other sound sources. The result is more reliable analysis and clearer interpretation of measurement data, even in acoustically complex environments.

The platform delivers real-time data visualisation, alarm and trigger management, continuous data storage, and secure remote access to all measurements from any device via a standard web browser, without the need to install additional software. By automating key workflows, NorCloud reduces manual handling and simplifies the generation of recurring reports, improving efficiency and traceability in noise monitoring projects.

Scalable platform and system monitoring

When creating an account in NorCloud, you can create and manage as many projects as you need and connect multiple noise monitoring systems without limitation. The platform operates on a pay-per-use basis, with no hidden costs.

Analyze mode supports custom user interfaces/tabs with moveable and resizable windows to present the data and acoustical analysis the way the user wants it.

System monitoring
System alarms help you monitor the status of your projects. Alerts are generated in case of lost connection, mains failure, low battery, data transfer issues, microphone calibration errors and more.


Live data can be enabled to provide real-time noise information, allowing immediate response and control in dynamic situations such as live events, racetracks or shooting ranges.

Monitoring and analysis capabilities

NorCloud supports all measurement parameters from the Nor145/150, ranging from basic LAeq values to high-resolution 1/3 octave multispectrum data. You can choose which parameters to transmit to the cloud while storing additional data locally for later analysis and cost optimisation.

Noise event handling allows you to configure alarms based on measurement parameters, dose calculations and other criteria. Actions such as email notifications, audio recording, image capture or digital outputs can be triggered automatically.

The platform automatically calculates and reports Lden and custom collection of daily acoustical parameters. NorCloud supports hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports. Calculation of hourly partial LAeq which is a filtered part of the measured hourly LAeq supporting weather data, NoiseTag filtering and Noise compass filtering. Both normal LAeq and partial LAeq hourly data can be presented simultaneously.

Dose calculation provides a clear indication of whether sound levels are approaching or exceeding defined limits within a given time period. Alarm notifications can be configured for different threshold levels.

Data management and storage

NorCloud supports continuous 24/7 audio recording, with data stored locally on the monitoring device. Users can listen to recordings and decide which data to upload.

A built-in data management system automatically removes the oldest data when needed. The platform also supports automatic data transfer to local servers, with compatibility across multiple data formats.  

 

NoiseTag

AI-based source classification

NoiseTag is an AI-based feature integrated into NorCloud that automatically classifies noise events during environmental monitoring. It distinguishes between noise generated by the activity under study and noise from unrelated sources, helping you focus on relevant data.

NoiseTag adapts to each project through fast model training using a limited number of audio samples and works seamlessly together with tools such as Noise Compass to improve clarity and reduce manual analysis.
