Engineered for professional building acoustics
The Nor280 is developed for demanding building and room acoustics applications, supporting:
- Sound insulation measurements
- Reverberation time measurements
- Absorption coefficient measurements
High-performance amplifier
The class D power stage combines low weight with high output and stable operation. It delivers up to 500 W RMS into a 4 Ω load with output currents up to 35 A, providing reliable excitation even in large rooms and in demanding test configurations.
Integrated noise generator
The integrated noise generator offers Pink, White, and Red/White noise excitation signals. The output level can be adjusted in 5 dB steps down to –35 dB, enabling precise level setting across a wide range of test conditions.
Practical remote operation
A wireless on/off remote control allows you to start and stop the signal from another room, supporting efficient workflows and reducing disturbance at the measurement position. The balanced line input minimizes crosstalk and induced noise when using long signal cables, ensuring clean and stable measurement signals.

Applications
What are you going to measure?
Environmental noise
Reliable noise monitoring with sound level meter, stand-alone terminals or large-scale systems.
Building acoustic
Building acoustic is about the sound that travels between rooms - something you'd rather avoid.
