Measurement range and core functions
The Norsonic NL-43 delivers the same measurement functions as the NL-53, with the key technical difference in its frequency range. The NL-43 covers 20 Hz to 8 kHz, while the NL-53 extends from 10 Hz to 20 kHz, up to the upper limit of typical human hearing.
Optimised for common noise applications
For many environmental and occupational noise applications, frequencies up to 8 kHz capture the dominant components that contribute to annoyance, disturbance, and regulatory non-compliance. In such cases, selecting the NL-43 provides a technically sound and economical choice when your measurement tasks do not require analysis above 8 kHz.
Standards-compliant performance
Despite its narrower frequency range, the NL-43 is engineered to the same quality level as our higher-specification models. It fully complies with IEC 61672-1:2013 and ANSI/ASA S1.4, making it suitable for regulation-driven noise monitoring and documentation.
