Calculate noise levels in specific areas in complex environments

This video shows how to calculate partial ambient noise levels, i.e. the noise level coming from a specific sector or area only, using Noise Compass and NorCloud.

In real environments, such as construction sites or industrial areas, the measured noise usually includes multiple simultaneous sources. Thanks to the directional information provided by Noise Compass, it is possible to define sectors of interest and calculate the noise level associated exclusively with the area under study, excluding or transforming contributions from other areas.

The video explains:

  • How to define noise sectors in the field

  • How to configure and edit sectors in NorCloud

  • How to apply triggers and functions by sector

  • How to compare the total level with the partial level

  • How to analyse the direction of the predominant noise

Finally, it shows how to generate customised reports from templates, selecting periods, sensors, functions and graphs independently. This allows you to create different reports for the same project with a single click, adapted to different technical or administrative needs.

This approach facilitates environmental noise analysis, reduces post-processing time and allows you to present clear and traceable results in construction studies, industrial activities and continuous monitoring projects.
